Before focusing on higher education technology, Mike spent years experimenting with home brewing and even created custom beers for friends’ weddings and special events.

Outside of work, he enjoys coaching youth sports, golfing, spending time with family, and finding a great local coffee shop or brewery.

His work centers on higher education organizations throughout Ohio and the Great Lakes region, helping leaders align networking, compute, storage, collaboration, and security investments with operational goals, staffing realities, and future campus growth.

Since joining Laketec in 2017, Mike has focused heavily on building and supporting the higher education market.

He specializes in campus networking, wireless infrastructure, network access control, lifecycle planning, procurement strategy, managed network services, and helping higher education IT teams simplify increasingly complex environments.

Notable work includes leading campus-wide wired and wireless modernization initiatives, developing long-term network infrastructure strategies, supporting wireless and network access control migrations, and improving connectivity and user experiences across higher education environments.
